What is the purpose of the private gallery?

Your Private Gallery allows you to easily manage your artwork for covers, headers, footers, ads, etc. You can share artwork between configurations, or even between different kinds of publications. For example, suppose you create a filler ad to use in a particular catalog. You can easily use that same filler ad in a brochure as well.

How is the private gallery organized?

You have a separate gallery for each different kind of page element. For example, your gallery for front covers is separate from your gallery for back covers.

How many images can I store in the private gallery?

There is no limit to the number of images you can store in your private gallery.


How To Manage Your Private Gallery for Covers, Headers, Footers, Ads, etc.

Introduction

Your Private Gallery allows you to easily manage your artwork for covers, headers, footers, ads, etc. It lets you share artwork between configurations, or even between different kinds of publications. For example, suppose you create a filler ad to use in a particular catalog. You can easily use that same filler ad in a brochure as well.

You have a separate gallery for each different kind of page element. For example, your gallery for front covers is separate from your gallery for back covers.

How to Create Images for Your Private Gallery

  • The image must be in JPG or PNG format.
  • Use any image editor you like.
  • Save it in a folder on your computer.
  • Click on Private Gallery, then click on the page element you want to add (e.g., "Front Cover")
  • Drag your image from its folder to the space labeled "Drop your image here" (or you can click on the Choose File button).
  • You will see your image appear in the Gallery.
  • To edit the name and give it a description, click on Edit under Properties.

Covers, Background Images, Interval Ads, and Full Page Inserts - Size Specifications

These size specifications are for making images that will be used for catalog covers, page backgrounds, interval ads, or full page inserts. Images are published at a minimum of 150dpi. Use the table below to see what size to make your image.

Most Catalog-on-Demand configurations include either a header or footer. Some have both. It is up to you how tall to make them. Shorter is usually better, because that leaves more room for your product information.
