Variable Data for Madrona Custom Flyers

After you have selected your products and clicked continue, you will be presented with this form for entering the variable data for your job. The purpose of this form and these fields is to give you the ability to personalize the flyer beyond simply choosing which products will appear. You can control the headlines, message, color scheme, banner graphic and other elements.

You have the ability to pre-populate these fields using Job Parameter Sets (JPS). JPS's gives you the ability to control the text, images, and ads that will appear in your visitors' custom flyers.)

First Page Header (Headline)

This text overlays the first page banner. You can enter up to 50 characters. If necessary it will wrap to two lines.

First Page Header Color (Headline Color)

Choose the color that you want to use for the first page header. You can define other colors.

Call to Action

This text appears as a headline to the message on the last page. You may enter up to 40 characters.

Message

This text appears on the bottom of the last page, to the right of the contact information. You may enter up to 350 characters.

Color Scheme (CurrentScheme)

You can select from several pre-defined color schemes. You can also define your own color schemes. Madrona has only two colors in its color scheme.

Top of Each Page Banner (CurrentHeaderDesignGfx)

You can upload your own set of banner graphics for this space. In order to produce a banner at 150dpi, which is acceptable for most desktop printers, create  the image 930 x 180 pixels. At the time you launch each job, you can choose which banner you want.

If you select no graphic for this space, it will be filled by a color per your color scheme selection.

Maximum Product Graphic Height (ProdGfxMaxHeight-Decimal_Inches)

This value limits the published height of your product graphics (the width will be proportionately reduced as well). The default value (if you enter nothing) is 2 inches. This value ONLY affects graphics that are taller than 2 inches. It will not affect graphics that are less than the specified maximum height. The benefit of this feature is that it gives your flyers a more consistent look, in contrast to publications where all graphics are different sizes. It also allows you to increase the number of products that appear on a page. If you make this number very small, then the graphics will be reduced in size and more products will fit on the page. (Technical note: The size is determined according to the graphic resolution setting, which is set at 150dpi for most Basic plan subscribers. Premium subscribers have control over image resolution and other settings as required to produce press-ready publications.)
