Deloitte's top trends for 2012 predict integrated cloud-based and on-premise services

Deloitte just announced findings from its “Tech Trends 2012” report. It predicts which technologies will play a crucial role in how businesses operate.

Deloitte makes the point that “organizations face a hybrid reality with a mix of on-premise solutions and multiple cloud offerings“.

Exactly. The opportunity is there for print service providers (PSP’s) to embrace cloud offerings, combine them with their print capabilities, and offer more services than ever before. Catalog-on-Demand — print catalog software-as-a-service — is the perfect example. Use it to land new business. Use it to increase services to existing customers. You can help with product data, images, training, support, integration, and countless other ways. And drum up plenty more print business!

In addition, we are developing ways to make the integration with PSPs even deeper. For example, PSP customers will be able to sign in to Catalog-on-Demand via the PSP site. Once in, the customers will be able to select a publication, specify print parameters, and notify the PSP, all in one step. Print parameters will be PSP-specific.
